Getting your bearings in Chhorepatan

Chhorepatan is the Pokhara neighbourhood that contains the waterfall, and it is a working part of the city rather than a single enclosed site. Learning a few reference points helps you move around it without expecting a resort.

Sources checked: 26 October 2026

What kind of area it is

Chhorepatan sits in ward H10 of Pokhara, and the waterfall and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave are both here, on opposite sides of each other. The address given for the fall is Chhorepatan, H10, Pokhara 33700.

Beyond the visitor sites it is an ordinary neighbourhood with homes, shops and traffic. Treat it as somewhere people live rather than only as a stop on a route.

Reference points to fix in your head

A few anchors make the area easier to read, and they also help you explain where you want to go.

  • The waterfall pin 28.1895642, 83.9586637 is your main landmark.
  • Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is a separate site on the other side of the fall.
  • The Tashi Ling community is in the same part of the city, and Lakeside and Damside are different areas altogether.
  • Plus code 5XQ5+HP2 can be pasted into a maps app if coordinates are hard to read out.
  • Keep the place name Devi’s Fall Pokhara handy for drivers.

Services and connections to confirm

The area has everyday services such as shops and places to eat, but this page does not name them, because none has been verified and they change. Look for what is open when you are there.

Transport outward to Lakeside, Damside, the Peace Pagoda area and Pumdikot is arranged on the day. Ask at your accommodation or with a driver which connections are actually running.

Walking around respectfully

Walk on the road side of the pavement, keep your belongings close in traffic and respect gates, courtyards and doorways that are clearly private. Local people are going about their day, not posing for visitors.

When you are ready to see the fall itself, check its status first: Google Maps listed the waterfall as temporarily closed when checked on 26 October 2026. No current management confirmation of the reason, reopening date, hours or fee has been verified.

Your data

This information site has no accounts, bookings or contact forms. Google Maps loads separately and uses Google’s own policies.

GA4 may start immediately after permission is successfully stored and verified. Cookie settings lets you withdraw; it cannot recall data already sent. Local storage records the choice; a session refusal helps keep this tab off after a storage failure. Failure feedback explains whether a stored grant may remain.

Hosting may process technical request logs and inject an independent Cloudflare performance beacon. The GA choice does not control that beacon; script presence alone does not prove a particular visit transmitted data. The service worker caches same-origin pages and resources for offline use.
