Family visit · supervision

A family visit to the waterfall

With children, the visit is mostly about supervision: keep everyone behind the railings and on the path, and treat wet rock as off limits. Plan rest and toilet stops before you arrive, because facilities at a gorge site cannot be assumed.

Keep children behind the railings

Viewpoints at a gorge usually have railings for a reason: the ground is wet, uneven and close to a real drop. Hold hands with younger children and keep them away from the edge.

Do not let children climb on barriers or rocks for a photograph.

Rest and toilet stops to plan

A short visit is easier for children than a long one, and facilities may not be available where you expect them. Plan the practical stops in advance.

  • Identify a toilet before you rely on one being at the site.
  • Carry water and a snack for younger children.
  • Agree a meeting point in case you are separated.
  • Dress children for wet, slippery ground and closed shoes.

The cave with young children

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is a separate destination and is commonly reached by steps into a dark, damp space. That is not always a good fit for very young children, so decide as a family before you go.

Google Maps listed the waterfall as temporarily closed when checked on 26 October 2026. No current management confirmation of the reason, reopening date, hours or fee has been verified. Confirm both the fall access and the cave arrangements before setting out.

Your data

This information site has no accounts, bookings or contact forms. Google Maps loads separately and uses Google’s own policies.

GA4 may start immediately after permission is successfully stored and verified. Cookie settings lets you withdraw; it cannot recall data already sent. Local storage records the choice; a session refusal helps keep this tab off after a storage failure. Failure feedback explains whether a stored grant may remain.

Hosting may process technical request logs and inject an independent Cloudflare performance beacon. The GA choice does not control that beacon; script presence alone does not prove a particular visit transmitted data. The service worker caches same-origin pages and resources for offline use.
