Arriving by taxi or ride

A taxi or app-based ride is the most direct way to reach the waterfall area, but the trip only works smoothly if you settle the destination, the price and the return before the vehicle moves.

Set the destination precisely

Pokhara has more than one place whose name sounds like a waterfall or a lake area, so a vague destination causes detours. Name the site as Devi’s Fall in Chhorepatan and, where possible, show the map pin.

The pin is 28.1895642, 83.9586637 for Devi’s Fall / Patale Chhango in Chhorepatan, H10, Pokhara 33700. A pin shows a location, not a guaranteed gate or a legal stopping bay.

Agree the terms before moving

Settle the practical details while the vehicle is still parked, when you still have a choice.

  • Agree whether the price is fixed or metered, and the currency you will pay in.
  • Confirm the fare covers everyone travelling and any luggage.
  • Ask whether waiting time, if you want it, is included or charged separately.
  • Keep small notes, since change may be limited.
  • Do not hand over payment before the trip is complete.

Return and waiting arrangements

Around a busy site it can be harder to find a ride back than to arrive, especially later in the day. Decide in advance whether the driver will wait, whether you will call another ride, or whether you will use public transport for the return.

If the driver waits, agree the price for the waiting period as well as the drive, so there is no argument at the end.

Confirm the site is receiving visitors

A ride can take you to Chhorepatan, but it cannot make the site open. Google Maps listed the waterfall as temporarily closed when checked on 26 October 2026. No current management confirmation of the reason, reopening date, hours or fee has been verified.

Confirm access first, and tell the driver your fallback stop so the trip is not wasted if entry is not possible.

FAQ

Short answers

How much should a taxi to the fall cost?+

No fare is stated here because none has been verified. Agree a price and payment method with the driver before you set off.

Can the driver wait while I visit?+

You can arrange that, but agree the waiting charge in advance. Whether waiting is worthwhile depends on how long the visit actually takes.

What if the fall is closed when I arrive?+

Tell the driver a fallback stop before you leave, so a closure does not leave you stranded with no plan.

Your data

This information site has no accounts, bookings or contact forms. Google Maps loads separately and uses Google’s own policies.

GA4 may start immediately after permission is successfully stored and verified. Cookie settings lets you withdraw; it cannot recall data already sent. Local storage records the choice; a session refusal helps keep this tab off after a storage failure. Failure feedback explains whether a stored grant may remain.

Hosting may process technical request logs and inject an independent Cloudflare performance beacon. The GA choice does not control that beacon; script presence alone does not prove a particular visit transmitted data. The service worker caches same-origin pages and resources for offline use.
